The Family of prophethood The lineage of Hazrat Muhammad (peace be upon him) goes back to Hazrat Ibrahim (peace be upon him). Muhammad  (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) bin Abdul Muttalib bin Hashim bin Abd Manaf bin Qusay bin Kaleb bin Marhab bin Ka’b bin Luy bin Ghalib bin Fahr bin Malik bin Nazr bin Kinana bin Khuzimah bin Madraqah bin Ilyas bin Mudar bin Nizar bin Madh bin Adnan bin Udd bin Al Muqum bin Nahur.   THE CONDITION OF ARABS BEFORE ISLAM Historians call the Arab era before the advent of Islam the Age of Ignorance, but the modern Arab countries are among the richest and most powerful in the world. They have a wealth of oil. The world wants cordial and friendly relations with the Arab countries. At the time of the birth of the Prophet Muhammad, most of the Arabian Peninsula consisted of deserts with sandstorms, but southern Arabia was fertile due to the monsoon rains. The Arabian Peninsula consisted of present-day Saudi Arabia, Yemen, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Qatar, and Bahrain. In those days, no one could have imagined that any new religion would emerge from these uninhabited, non-religious areas and tribes, making these savage tribes so sectarian that they would begin to rule the world.
